Moonchild are LA-based multi-instrumentalists Amber Navran, Max Bryk, and Andris Mattson. In May 2017, Moonchild released their highly-anticipated album ‘Voyager’ which pioneered a unique blend of soul and new-school jazz and was fronted by the standout debut single “Cure”. Praise for the project has continued to grow with vocal support across KCRW, BBC 1XTRA, BBC 6Music and NTS; a video premiere for the cinematic “Cure” with The Fader, and an upfront stream of the sun soaked “Show The Way” via Okayplayer. Further reviews from DJ Mag, The Evening Standard and LA Weekly add to support for the album, as well as online praise from NPR, The Fader, Bandcamp (who featured the album in their top 100 albums of 2017), Soulbounce, Saint Heron and Jazz FM playlisting.

In the short space of three years, Moonchild have released two acclaimed albums, and collaborated or played live with many notable names in the soul-jazz scene including Stevie Wonder, Jill Scott, India.Arie, The Internet, Kamasi Washington and more. Attracting international tastemaker support from the likes of Gilles Peterson (BBC 6 Music), WHUR-DC, KCRW and LA 102.3, the band have also found themselves being praised by a host of iconic artists including Questlove, Jill Scott, Robert Glasper, Laura Mvula, James Poyser, Jazzy Jeff, Tyler, The Creator, and many more.

Since infiltrating LA’s iconic music scene, Moonchild only have positive things to say about their involvement and how it inspires them. Andris affirms that “There’s so much good music coming out of LA right now, a real creative energy surrounding the city”. Moonchild’s sound epitomises the LA mix of intricate, progressive musicality with the classic laid-back and blissful sound with which the West Coast has been associated across the decades.
In 2017 and 2018, the band has toured extensively to sold out shows across the USA, Europe, and Asia.
