LIRA

South African, internationally acclaimed, multiplatinum and multi-award winning,  LIRA, embarks on her 7th studio album set to release in 2019. Born in Ekurhuleni, East of Johannesburg,  LIRA grew up listening to Steve Wonder, Miriam Makeba, Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone. She began writing songs and performing at age 16 before being discovered in 2000 and signed to 999 where she released her debut album “All My Love” in 2003.

The title track from the album would go on to surpass Beyone’s “Dangerously in Love” on it’s run to the top of the South African Charts, marking the beginning of her meteoric rise.  LIRA has gone on to win numerous awards worldwide, named international spokeswoman for companies Audi, and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, graced countless internationally known magazine covers, and appeared on numerous TV programs including “Dreamchaser” (FOX), “The Voice SA” (FOX) and World’s Best (CBS in Feb, 2019)!  LIRA‘s music will be loved and recognized for many years to come.
